Everything you need to know about
testing and launching your app with ClosedTestHelp.
Troubleshooting Installation
Fix: Create a Free Sale
Testers cannot install paid apps. Go to Monetize → Products → App Pricing →
Sales and create a new sale with a $0 price and a start/end date. This
lets you return to paid pricing after testing without modifying the base price.
Fix: Enable All Regions
Go to Play Console → Countries/Regions and enable All Countries (or
specifically India/US where testers are likely located).
Fix: Add Tester Group
You must add our Google Group closedtesthelp@googlegroups.com to your
Closed Testing track list in Play Console.
Getting Started
Add Testers: Add
closedtesthelp@googlegroups.com to Closed Testing.
Select Countries: Enable all countries/regions.
Submit: Click "Send for review" in Play Console.
After finishing the 3 steps above:
Wait for "Approved" status in Play Console.
Copy the Android Link (Join on Android).
Paste it into our app's "Select App" or upload form.
To check your 14-day progress toward production access:
Open your Google Play Console Dashboard.
Scroll to the "Apply for access to production" section.
Look for the checklist under "Run your closed test with at least 12 testers,
for at least 14 days".
You will see a live counter showing exactly how many testers have
continually opted in and for how many days.
Service Questions
Yes. Google requires 12 testers opted-in for 14 continuous days. We provide exactly
this service to ensure you pass the requirement.
Absolutely. Testers only install your app to test its features using the public or
private testing link you provide. We never require access to your app's source code,
and we do not need your Google Play Console login details.
Optional Benefit: After the 14-day test is complete, we can share
your app in our community (like our Reddit group) to gather user feedback and help
you start building your audience. This is completely optional and safe. If you
prefer no external promotion, simply let us know, and we will keep your app strictly
private to the testing group.
We take full responsibility and will test again for free or provide a full refund if
you follow our testing instructions:
Do not submit for production before the 14-day test is complete.
Fix any major bugs or policy feedback we might report during testing.
If you follow these steps and still get rejected, we've got you covered!
